Every year, my sister and I create a halloween-themed illustration series together and the results are always delightfully spooky.
In 2020, we wanted to create pin-ups out of our favorite halloween costumes.
Each girl was sketched, inked, colored and shaded through a process using Procreate and True Grit Texture Supply’s halftone brushes and pulpy paper texture. We tried to let each girl’s natural personality shine through in the expressions, outfits and colors chosen.
Through our process, my sister would sketch out a reference and I would digitize the illustration, adding details, colors and textures.
